Why this role exists

The work a firm sends to a client is the firm. A proposal with broken styles or a report with mismatched fonts undercuts the substance behind it. Holding firm-brand standards across documents is constant, careful work, and it does not need to sit with a partner at midnight before a deadline.

A dedicated document production specialist absorbs that load and brings every deliverable up to firm standard.

A day in the role

  • Format two advice memos to brand and route them back for review.
  • Apply track-change feedback on a proposal through its second round.
  • Update a central template after a brand refresh.
  • Prepare the final PDF of a client report, paginated and version controlled.

What good looks like at 90 days

Client deliverables consistently look the part, partners stop reformatting their own work, templates are trusted and used, and turnaround on documents tightens visibly.

Sector context

This role sits inside our professional services sector work, alongside client onboarding, bookkeeping, and practice administration.

The Arcbridge difference

You direct the work. Arcbridge holds the employment.

Australian workplace law considers the real working relationship between a business and a worker, not only the contract label. Where an Australian business directly engages an offshore contractor and the practical working relationship resembles employment, classification and Fair Work questions can arise. The Fair Work Commission has scrutinised arrangements of this kind.

Arcbridge is designed to reduce the practical risks of informal offshore contractor arrangements by placing employment, payroll, leave, HR administration, and employment-side process inside a managed structure. Arcbridge or its nominated employment entity employs the team member. The client receives capability and outputs through a service agreement rather than directly engaging an offshore worker.

This is the difference between an informal offshore engagement and a structured offshore team. It is general information only, and is not a substitute for tailored legal, workplace relations, tax, or migration advice on a client's specific arrangements.

Core responsibilities

  • Format proposals, reports, and advice memos to firm brand standards
  • Build and maintain document templates and style sets
  • Manage proposal content libraries and reusable sections
  • Apply track-change feedback cleanly through review cycles
  • Prepare PDFs and final versions for client release
  • Coordinate large or complex document builds
  • Report weekly on production volume and turnaround

What this role is not

Clear scope protects the placement. These sit outside this brief, and we will say so before a call rather than after.

  • This role produces and formats documents to your direction. It does not write substantive content or advise on what a deliverable should say.
  • It does not approve client-facing material. Final approval stays with the responsible partner.
  • It is not a fee-earning role.

Best-fit profile

  • Two or more years in document production, marketing operations, or executive support
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills, with strong styles and templates knowledge
  • Strong written English and a careful eye for typography and layout
  • Comfortable working to brand standards under deadlines

What Arcbridge screens for

Depth is the differentiation. These are the capabilities we test before a name reaches your shortlist.

Document craft

We test real Word and PowerPoint depth, because templates and styles done properly save the firm hours every week.

Brand discipline

We screen for the habit of formatting to the firm's standard, not the writer's local Word habits.

Turnaround under pressure

We assess clean work delivered to a tight deadline through several review rounds.

Attention to detail

We look for the eye that catches small layout, typo, and version-control issues.

How we measure success

The signals we hold this role to. These are quality and throughput measures the team member owns, not promises about your commercial results.

  • Documents formatted to brand on the agreed turnaround
  • Templates and styles maintained centrally and used consistently
  • Track-change cycles handled cleanly without lost edits
  • Final PDFs accurate, paginated, and brand-correct

Who holds what

The managed structure is the point. You direct the work and own the outputs. Arcbridge holds the employment relationship and everything that comes with it.

You direct

  • Your brand and document standards
  • Which proposals and documents take priority
  • How review cycles and approvals are run
Recommended

Arcbridge holds

  • The employment relationship, payroll, and superannuation equivalent
  • Leave, performance management, and HR administration
  • Onboarding, equipment, and day-to-day pastoral support

The commercial case

Polished, on-brand documents win more work and protect a firm's professional standing. A dedicated specialist holds production so partners are not formatting at midnight. The managed structure delivers that capability without directly engaging an offshore worker.
