Why this role exists

A recruitment desk runs dry when consultants spend their hours searching instead of speaking to people. A sourcing specialist keeps the top of the funnel full: reading the brief, running the searches, and qualifying responses so a consultant picks up a warm, relevant pipeline.

The role suits desks with steady role flow that cannot justify pulling consultants off the phone to do their own research.

A day in the role

  • Pick up two new role briefs and build a targeted longlist for each.
  • Run Boolean searches across the job boards and professional networks.
  • Send first-touch outreach to a shortlist, using the agreed templates.
  • Pre-screen yesterday's responses and hand the qualified ones to consultants.

What good looks like at 90 days

Consultants start the week with a working pipeline rather than a blank search, outreach goes out fast on every new brief, and the CRM is tagged well enough that talent pools are actually reusable.

Sector context

This role sits inside our medical recruitment sector work, alongside coordination, credentialing, and back-office support.

The Arcbridge difference

You direct the work. Arcbridge holds the employment.

Australian workplace law considers the real working relationship between a business and a worker, not only the contract label. Where an Australian business directly engages an offshore contractor and the practical working relationship resembles employment, classification and Fair Work questions can arise. The Fair Work Commission has scrutinised arrangements of this kind.

Arcbridge is designed to reduce the practical risks of informal offshore contractor arrangements by placing employment, payroll, leave, HR administration, and employment-side process inside a managed structure. Arcbridge or its nominated employment entity employs the team member. The client receives capability and outputs through a service agreement rather than directly engaging an offshore worker.

This is the difference between an informal offshore engagement and a structured offshore team. It is general information only, and is not a substitute for tailored legal, workplace relations, tax, or migration advice on a client's specific arrangements.

Core responsibilities

  • Build targeted longlists against each live role brief
  • Run Boolean searches across job boards and professional networks
  • Add and tag sourced candidates accurately in the CRM
  • Draft and send initial outreach to agreed templates
  • Pre-screen responses against the brief before handing to a consultant
  • Maintain talent pools for recurring role types
  • Report weekly on sourcing activity and response rates

What this role is not

Clear scope protects the placement. These sit outside this brief, and we will say so before a call rather than after.

  • This role builds and qualifies the pipeline. It does not own client relationships, take briefs from clients, or close placements.
  • It is not a clinical role and makes no clinical assessment of candidates.
  • It does not negotiate rates or manage offers.

Best-fit profile

  • Two or more years in sourcing, resourcing, or recruitment research
  • Confident with Boolean search and job-board tools
  • Strong written English for candidate outreach
  • Organised, with accurate CRM habits

What Arcbridge screens for

Depth is the differentiation. These are the capabilities we test before a name reaches your shortlist.

Search skill

We test real Boolean and platform search ability against a brief, not just familiarity with the tools.

Brief comprehension

We screen for the ability to read a role brief and source to it, rather than returning loosely relevant names.

Outreach writing

We assess clear, professional candidate messages that get replies without sounding like a template.

CRM accuracy

We look for disciplined tagging and record keeping so the pipeline stays usable.

How we measure success

The signals we hold this role to. These are quality and throughput measures the team member owns, not promises about your commercial results.

  • Agreed number of qualified candidates added to each live role
  • Outreach sent within agreed turnaround on a new brief
  • Response and conversion rates reported weekly
  • CRM tagging kept accurate so pipelines stay searchable

Who holds what

The managed structure is the point. You direct the work and own the outputs. Arcbridge holds the employment relationship and everything that comes with it.

You direct

  • The role briefs and what a qualified candidate looks like
  • Outreach templates and your candidate-experience standards
  • Which roles and talent pools take priority
Recommended

Arcbridge holds

  • The employment relationship, payroll, and superannuation equivalent
  • Leave, performance management, and HR administration
  • Onboarding, equipment, and day-to-day pastoral support

The commercial case

A dedicated sourcer keeps the top of the funnel full, so consultants spend their hours on conversations and placements rather than searching. The managed structure delivers that capability without directly engaging an offshore worker.
